Sharron Lea
Sharron Lea studied Creative Arts and Fine Art at Northumbria University. Her practice includes undertaking socially engaged visual activism, creating placards and banners, photo-legal observation, photographing police activities at political demonstrations and facilitating participatory photographic and walking projects.
She has worked with local, national and international organisations including the Angelou Centre, Consett and Vale of Derwent Naturalists' Field Club, Roshni Asian Women's Association, HM Prison Service, Northumbria Probation Service and the United Nations. A recipient of Arts Council Community Champions and Home office Awards, she is an Associate Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Photographic Practice at Northumbria University.
