Faye Peacock (b.1983) lives and works in London. Faye Peacock's work deals with notions of myth, place, money, portraiture, exchanges, repetition, participation and the voice. Less so with the convivial and more so, with the every day. Within her practice she continues to question where the place for art is in the public's consciousness; to ask of the ethics involved in participation and the power which an artist has when collaborating with a member of the public.

She instigates experiences and creates situations which are open ended and rely on participants, welcome audience members to interpret and complete the tasks in whatever way they wish. The audience?s lives, personalities, voices, experiences and ideas become the content of the work. Often her performance work is documented through sound alone, thus leaving later reading of the work open for interpretation, allowing space for the imagination.

Faye Peacock has also experimented with creating sculptural works out of the documentation of her performances, allowing the work to exist in a different form and for another audience once the performance has ended.
