Monkey Business 16 January to Friday 13 February, Gallery North Project Space

"Sounds of the 70's MOMA, New York". This is a sound piece. Looped ambient sounds recorded in the Museum of Modern Art New York during the 1970's. Gallery North Project  Space's own ambient sounds will be augmented by the ambient sounds of galleries  containing works by Donald Judd, Robert Morris and Andy Warhol. The sound will be slightly greater than that of normal ambient sounds. The looped excerpts will be of sufficient duration to avoid a sense of entropy or repeat. The sounds may be accompanied by some archival images from the galleries over the same period. The title derives from Donald Judds description of temporary installation as monkey business. Curated by Andrew McNiven.
